Bishopstown House
A fully-restored and renovated Georgian mansion with a rich equestrian history, Bishopstown combines an old world setting with the best in modern features. In 2006, the house was personally chosen by Michael Jackson (who was living in Coolatore for most of 2006) to be part of his Irish estate. Sadly, the King of Pop never got to live there, but now you can experience its six spacious bedrooms (two trebles and four king-sized doubles), two large sitting rooms, a dining room with unique round table, a traditional country kitchen, and outdoor patios. The house also features an extensive restored equestrian courtyard, which features two further en-suite bedrooms (one double and one treble) and a private pub and function room.
The house currently sleeps 18 guests sharing across 6 bedrooms with two more located in the courtyard Some doubles, triples and quadruples.
The onsite pub is totally private and literally a few steps from the main house. It has stout and beer on tap; ideal for parties or any activities.
In terms of activities during your stay we offer country pursuits such as horse-riding and clay pigeon shooting. There is a plethora of sporting, heritage, arts and cultural options nearby. In any given month there is loads happening in the midlands and you are right in the heart of it here at Bishopstown House.
Being in the heart of Ireland, Bishopstown House is located a little over an hour away from Dublin and Galway.
