The owners of these beautiful self catering rural retreats are all friends and share an interest in ensuring that visitors enjoy their stay in whichever accommodation they choose and avail of the special interest knowledge from each of the hosts.

Between us we are passionate enthusiasts on: gardens and gardening - restoring old houses and mills - classic cars and rallies - hunting and racing - genealogy and of course the pleasure of walking across our beautiful open countryside.  Therefore if you come to stay with one of us, you will have other "friends" in general area with interesting properties to visit.

Self Catering Cottages

The Stone Loft 
The Stone Loft newly converted and fully equipped loft apartment: sleeps 4/6.
A lovely rural setting in the very heart of Ireland - not far from anywhere.
This beautiful apartment is owned by Roderick and Nuala Downer and is adjacant to the family home, Ballylina Lodge.The Downers special interests include Classic and Vintage Cars and Genealogy. 

The Courtyard Cottages
The Court Yard cottages offer comfortable accommodation in two pretty, self-contained dwellings within a converted stable building. The stables have been sympathetically renovated and tastefully furnished. You have indeed found charming structures in a very beautiful setting. These cottages are owned by Marcus and Irene Sweeney and are adjacent to their home at Fancroft Mill & Gardens, Roscrea, Co Tipperary.
The Sweeney's special interests include Mill Conservation and Restoration.

The Gate Lodge
This Gate Lodge is the ideal self-catering retreat with its own garden and wooded area located at the main gates of Gloster House. Guests at The Gate Lodge have access to the main gardens. 
This charming stone lodge has recently been restored and refurbished. This lodge is owned by Tom and Mary Alexander and is on the property of Gloster House, Birr, Co Offaly. The Alexanders special interest is Conservation & Restoration.

The Courtyard Cottages
A choice of three beautiful restored farm and stable buildings in a courtyard setting which are beside the magnificent walled garden. These courtyard cottages are owned by Angela Jupe and are on the property of Bellefield House, Shinrone, Co Tipperary. Angela's special interest is Gardening and Design.

 Clarkhill Cottage
Clarkhill Cottage is a tastefully restored stone country cottage, set in Irelands mid west. Set in a beautiful garden with rambling roses climbing through the old apple trees. Clarkhill Cottage is owned by Wink and Tessa and is adjacent to main property of Clarkhill House, Wink and Tessa's special interests are Hunting, Racing and Point to Point.

Our location map indicates the close proximity of each of the properties to each other and to Lough Derg, Ireland's largest pleasure lake. Our central location is ideal for touring the beautiful Shannon region, the Slieve Bloom Mountains and beyond.
