Paddy’s Bar Terryglass
On 23rd May 2011, the village of Moneygall welcomed home President Barrack Obama. During this visit, President Barrack Obama and the first lady Michelle took time to visit their ancestral home, The Kearney Homestead. Between May 1800 and January 1851, the Kearney family occupied this dwelling house. Between 1849 and 1851, first Fulmouth, then Joseph, and finally Phoebe left this house in Moneygall and emigrated to the United States.
The Kearney House has been kept magnificently over the years and today hosts many memorabilia from the Kearney era right up to the visit of President Obama in May 2011.
This house is open to public viewing by appointment.
