Donaghmore Workhouse Museum
Set in the original Workhouse building, completed in 1853,Donaghmore Workhouse Museum explains the socio-economic conditions post famine that led to their establishment. The museum covers the formation of the Donaghmore Co-Operative Society and houses an impressive Household and Agricultural collection for visitors to enjoy. Opening Times: October to June (inclusive) Monday to Friday 11.00 am to 5.00 pm (except Public Holidays), July to September (inclusive) Monday to Friday 11.00 am to 5.00 pm (except Public Holidays), Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm, Groups (of more than 10 people) anytime by agreed appointment.
