Lough Derg Garden Trail
A diverse range of public and privately-owned gardens, varying in size from 1 to 10 acres. The gardens span a number of counties, but all are located within 40 minutes drive of Lough Derg on the river Shannon. Some of the gardens are on the grounds of castles, while others are on the grounds of private residences and showcase an interesting range of flowers, shrubs and trees against a rural backdrop. Each garden has its own dedicated page on the web site www.LoughDergGardens.com containing photos, descriptions, directions, GPS co-ordinates, admission fees and opening times. Visits should be booked IN ADVANCE with most of the gardens directly. Most of the gardens are wheelchair accessible and offer refreshments and coach parking.
