Derryglad Folk Museum
No trip to the Midlands is complete without a trip to Derryglad Folk Museum, which is of great benefit to pupils in their study of our history, heritage and culture. The visit is approximately 1 hour including a Guided Tour. The unique collection of over 6000 items deals with farm and folk life in Ireland. Take a step back in time and see how you’re great – grandparents made the butter washed the clothes and did the cooking. Also on show is a collection of model cars, tradesman’s tools. New photography Display showing development techniques from the 1940’s. Rare washing machines and gramophones etc. New display of Old School Room includes old school ways at school.
